A small group of year 10 students have been taking part in a web design class. The designs they have created are now available on the web site and you can vote for the best design.

There are prizes for the students involved so why not take a look and cast your vote.

The winning design may even be converted into a template for the school web site for all to enjoy!

Bad weather meant that many people were unable to attend last week's options evening for year 9. A replacement session will be run this Thursday, 11th February at 7pm. Students have brought a letter home - please see the events section to the right hand side of this web site for further details.

On Sunday 25th April, Performing Arts teacher, Ami Stott will be putting on her trainers (and bumble bee costume) to run the London Marathon. She will be running to raise money for the national charity Phabkids, which is dedicated to the integration of people with and without physical disabilities in the community.

Mr Walker has put the "Final Information Letter" for the Nassfeld Ski Trip on the web site.

Congratulations go to six HGS students who have secured the offer of a place at a Cambridge College. Lewis Bartlett is to study Natural Science at Selwyn, Laura Fergus is reading Geography at Newnham, Catherine Tyldsley has a place to read Engineering, Emma Stirk will read Natural Sciences  and Yifan Zhao and Michael Godfrey are to study Computer Science at St Johns and Churchill respectively.

HGS Parents' Association Spring 2010 Cookbooks for Sale

The Parents’ Association have been working with pupils, staff and friends to put together a cookbook with over 100 recipes from starters, soups and salads through to deserts and cakes.

Pupils, staff and PA members have passed on their favourite recipes to be compiled together.
